"TRM has really benefited from your quiet leadership. I've watched the team grow and stay active, a big change from previous years. ... That's a great legacy!" - Tom Rogge

Team Rose Motorsports is the single largest contributor to my experience at Rose-Hulman, a source of lifelong memories. I served as president for two years and completed overwhelming changes to the team. Membership increased alongside member commitment, I pushed the team to set and keep aggressive schedules to attend race events (we did 9 off-campus events in an one 11 week quarter). I organized airport testing days which exponentially increased time members could drive the team-owned race cars. I lead the team through two years of challenges and crises, providing guidance and motivation when the club nearly lost insurance (effectively the end of our operations), when our freshly machined engine parts got accidentally thrown in a dumpster, successfully navigating administrative red tape for travel, and countless unexpected vehicle issues.
The team empowered me to greatly increase my fabrication and mechanics skills and to experience driving fast and engaging cars at the limit of their performance. Some of the major vehicle projects are documented on this site. More pictures and videos can be found on Facebook or Instagram.

Eagle Scout - BSA Troop 6, Cincinnati, OH
My Eagle project was revamping the bee keeping area at Gorman Heritage Farm, a historic community farm that provides locally grown food, community gardens, and educational experiences for school children. I worked with bee-keepers to identify needs for improvement, then planned and directed scouts and other community members to implement them. We re-leveled bee hives on new foundations, cleared overgrown brush, and built 4 new work tables. We also added an entrance ramp for the existing shed to improve access. My father and I also built a solar wax melter to collect beeswax. On a sunny day it could reach 165F inside!
I served as Senior Patrol Leader for two years, leading weekly scout meetings and organization of high-adventure camping trips. I learned lessons on keeping people interested and engaged in meetings and conflict resolution.
